In Japanese mythology, Sukunahikona was a tiny deity who was said to be so small that he slipped between the fingers of his mother, Kamimusuhi. He is the deity who assisted Onamuchi in the forming of the land and creating medicine. He first appeared riding the waves in a boat made from the pod of a vine and wearing the skin of a small bird.

In Devil Summoner: Kuzunoha Raidou, Sukunahikona has taken possession of Munakata in order to seek revenge for his fallen comrades in the past by killing those within the Capital, who he refers to as "the slaves of Amatsu". During Raidou's battle with Sukunahikona, he attacks from within Munakata's mouth, and if he is able to hit you or your allied demon with his Hiruko Illusions attack, he will follow it up with a powerful beam attack. Any demon hit by this attack will be instantly withdrawn from battle and sealled, so that it cannot be recalled to combat until the battle ends.
In Persona 4, Sukunahikona emerges as Naoto's Persona after she is saved by the Protagonist from her shadow at Mayonaka TV. The Persona looks like a small winged being with a large sword.
