About

The sequel to Shin Megami Tensei, it takes place a few decades after the events of Shin Megami Tensei. The main from Shin Megami Tensei presumeably took the Neutral ending, and allowed those of both the Mesian and Gaian following to live to their liking. Later, the Mesians take power and rule from Tokyo Millenium. Here, Hawk, a gladiator with no memories of his past tries to rise up and leave Valhalla.

AGTP has released an english patch from the combined efforts of Gideon Zhi, and Ian Kelly aka Masakado.

Characters

(Note, the first six names are the game's default names)

Hawk/Aleph: The main character in the game, he starts out as an amnesic gladiator. As soon as he becomes a citizen of the Center, he discovers that he was designed to be the Messiah, destined to save the world.

Hiroko: She is presented as the main character's "consort" when she first appears. A child of devoted faithfuls from the Center, your first meeting is triggered by her fugue from the Center as you are asked to bring her back safely so she may be dealt with for her treason. She and the main character share a strong bond, one that will be explained further as you progress through the game, and she will be at your side for a sizable portion of your adventure.

Gimmel: We are lead to believe that he is this game's "Law hero", a devoted follower of the Center's rule and a force for Law, but in fact he now resides in Arcadia on a permanent basis. He prefers not to leave his peaceful and apparently Utopian world where he rules over faithfuls who have decided to leave their former lives to enter Arcadia.

Beth: This beautiful woman will be at your side for a period of time and mirrors Hiroko's role as the magic user. The bond between you and Beth is unclear and will remain mysterious until later in the game. Alas, she will not stay for long in your party as Hiroko takes her place eventually.

Zain: A devoted member of the Center and its rules, he eventually decides that his masters are not what they seem and vows allegiance to the forces of Law themselves. And in the name of the people he fights against the Center, trying to recruit the hero to his side along the way.

Dareth: When first given a chance to recall his name, you are told that he is "a lot like you" and in a way, he is. Your first encounter is in the Colosseum, but it won't be your last as he reappears throughout the game to extract his vengeance upon you for his initial defeat.
