[edit] About

The Shinto god of pathways. He is the husband of Ame-no-Uzume. They met when the grandson of Amaterasu, Ninigi-no-Mikoto was sent down to earth. Sarutahiko was the guardian between heaven and earth and would not submit to him and refusing passage. Most of the other gods were scared of him since he was huge and manly, along with having goofy features like a huge nose and light shining out of his face and rear end. However Uzume stripped off the top of her kimono, exposing her chest. In this state, she approached Sarutahiko and demanded that he swear fealty to Ninigi-no-Mikoto. Sarutahiko was impressed at her straightforward attitude (among other things…) and submitted as well as asked for her hand in marriage. Because of his appearance, it's suggested that Sarutahiko is the father of Tengu race.

[edit] In Game

In Nocturne, Among the Jirae class demons in Asakusa, a Sarutahiko can be talked to when the Manikins finish restoring the northern structures. Believing in peaceful coexistence, they leave the Manikins alone as long as they get to stay. Sarutahiko in particular would take notice of a man who hangs around the terminals, and would ask Hito-Shura if he is familiar with that man.
