In Digital Devil Saga 2 Meganada was a demon that appeared five years ago during the incident at the Karma Society. Unlike Varna who they destroyed, the society was able to capture Meganada and freeze him for study. Through studying his DNA, Jenna Angel was able to create the demon virus that was used to infect most of the soldiers within the society.

Later, when the Karma Soldiers were unable to defeat the Embryon as they infiltrated the Power Plant, Jenna gave the order to release Meganada as a last resort to destroy them. Roland chose to face Meganada as the others headed for the control room, but the beast was too powerful and recognised Roland as Indra, his former enemy as a demon. Pursuing Roland to the core of the Power Plant, Meganada was attacked by Argilla, but even she was too weak to defeat the mighty demon. With no choices left, the two Embryon members blew up the Power Plant, destroying both themselves and Meganada.

Finally, when the Embryon are travelling to the center of the Sun, they encounter Meganada's solar data toward the center and must once again fight him. However, despite his awesome power, the Embryon too have greatly improved, and are able to match up to him this time around.
