[edit] Technique
During the earlier years of the Megaten series, Kaneko mostly used traditional media to produce his art work. During the 90's, he started producing his designs with computer software. In some rare interviews, Kaneko has stated that he usually does the rough sketch in pencil, then scans and adds the finishing touches in art programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Corel Painter and openCanvas. Most Megaten fans favour his newer digital approach as opposed to his earlier ones; he has shown much improvement over the years using the medium.
