Hermes is herald of the Olympian gods. His father is Zeus and his mother is the nymph Maia, Hermes is the god of shepherds, land travel, merchants, weights and measures, oratory, literature, athletics and thieves, and known for his cunning and shrewdness. Most importantly, he is the messenger of the gods.

In Persona 3, Hermes is Junpei's first Persona, awakened when he first experiences the Dark Hour and screams in fright. He tends to focus more on increasing everyone's physical attacks, and using his own physical attacks to fight back. After Chidori sacrifices her life to save his, Hermes transmografies to Trismegistus.
